I have been Dr Gatrad's patient for some time now and have been extremely satisfied with the level of service that he has always provided me with. Recently I went to see him complaining of severe tummy problems. After hearing my symptoms and knowing my history he carefully explained to me the possibilities of what we could be looking at. He assured me that he would carry out all the necessary tests to make sure that he had covered all the possible causes. True to his word there was not one test or scan that Dr Gatrad did not request, I was given the best possible care and attention by him, which not only gave me that peace of mind but also the confidence and assurance that whatever it was he would surely find it. As always he was very thorough in his work which always gives me the confidence that I have the best Dr looking after me. He is extremely knowledgeable and always gives accurate and useful advice. He deals with all aspects of my care with great confidence and hence this makes me have much faith in him, without hesitation. Although an extremely professional figure, he is also very caring and gives each individual personal attention when dealing with them. In short, he does his job with extreme passion and this is the main reason I continue to return to him. Furthermore, he sees his patient through their treatment from start to finish, including excellent aftercare, and is always available to attend to any queries and give advice. Lastly, an excellent quality of Dr Gatrad's is his honesty, and his ability to allow you to trust him when you talk to him. He is a true man and by far the best Doctor that I have come across in his field.

We first met Professor Gatrad about 3 years ago when we were referred by our doctor as my son had a very low iron count. He was very kind but also very professional from the get go. He immediately put my son at ease with his very easy going manner. On our last visit to him my son was a little concerned about removing his top with some lady students present and, without me having to say a word, he immediately closed the curtain and made a little joke about it to make him feel comfortable. As for the care we received medically, it was top rate. He was very thorough and gave him a check over every visit. He always explained everything to us and didn't blind us with medical jargon, always had time for us and I never felt rushed along at all, he always had time for our questions, however trivial. I felt he was a very warm, generous, caring Doctor and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to any one.

We have met Professor Gatrad on several occasions and have always been impressed by his manner with both ourselves and our two boys. His professionalism and knowledge were outstanding and it is no surprise that there are so many positive reviews on this site. Thankfully our boys have both now been discharged, but we would not hesitate to ask for a referral back to Professor Gatrad, should there be any problems in the future.

My son was recently treated by Dr Gatrad for Osgood Schlatter disease which he has supported us with over the past 6 months, and under his care and guidance my sons condition has gretaly improved. Dr Gatrad has been treating the children in our family for over 25 years now and his care and professionalism has been nothing short of exceptional from the first time i met him, to this day. He is extremely knowledgable and professional but also genuinely cares for his patients and does his utmost to ensure that they receive the best care and treatment possible. He is an asset to the hospital and his patients
